# Limits

### **How to Set a Workspace Limit**

1. Go to the All Workspaces page.
2. Select the Workspace for which you want to set a limit.
3. Click the Edit Limit button on the right.
4. Select the type of limit you want to apply.
5. Enter the limit amount.
6. Click Save.

Once saved, the specified limit will be applied to the selected Workspace.

#### Important:

* If you set a Monthly Limit, the limit amount cannot be lower than the amount already spent during the current month.
* If you set a Fixed Limit, the limit amount cannot be lower than the total amount already spent on that Workspace.
* The Monthly Limit is automatically reset on the 1st day of each new month.

{% hint style="info" %}
Example: A Monthly Limit of $1,000 is set. During the month, $700 is spent, leaving $300 available. When the new month begins, the limit resets, and the full $1,000 becomes available again.
{% endhint %}

### **Changing the Limit Type**

You can change the Workspace limit type at any time. There are no restrictions on switching between limit types. For example, you can change:

* From Fixed Limit to Monthly Limit
* From Monthly Limit to No Limit
* From No Limit to Fixed Limit
* Or any other combination

Or any other combination.

To change the limit type, follow the same steps as for setting a limit (see Section How to Set a Workspace Limit), but select the new limit type in Step 4.

{% hint style="info" %}
Important: When changing the limit type, the same spending restrictions still apply. The new limit cannot be set below the amount already spent during the current month (for Monthly Limit) or the total amount already spent on the Workspace (for Fixed Limit).
{% endhint %}
